$10,000 Scholarship for LGBT Students in U.S.

The Point Scholarship application process opened January 2, 2007 for the 2007-2008 academic year.The mission of the Point Foundation is to provide financial support, mentoring and hope to meritorious students who are marginalized due to sexual orientation, gender expression or gender identity.
Annually, the Point Foundation selects a range of students who are racially, ethnically, geographically and academically diverse. The students selected for Point Scholarships will earn their undergraduate and graduate degrees at some of the nation’s most prestigious institutions of higher learning and pursue studies in a range of academic areas.
The application deadline for this year’s scholarships is March 1, 2007. The application process is open to all LGBT students and student allies nationwide regardless of level of education. For information on how to apply, please visit: www.thepointfoundation.org/apply.html
