According to Advocate, LGBT folks more more likely to visit blogs and online networking sites. For businesses, this translates to marketing opportunities to target the queer communities. It’s also significant for many of the non-profits and some other advocacy groups.
It seems that more and more people are accessing the internet to find their communities and for organizations to reach these folks, they must begin to develop a more elaborate outreach strategy online. There are many creative partnership that people have not fully explored such as more innovative HIV prevention messages. With geo-target technology so widely used by online marketers, there is no better time than now to initiate discussions with internet portals such as AOL, Yahoo! and Gay.com that offer chat room advertising
