Cecilia - What's in a name?
If you are curious about the origin of my name, here's it's history. Cecilia is the feminine form of Caecilius or Cecil, which was derived from Latin caecus which means "blind". St Cecilia is the patron saint of music and the Celtic name, Sissy, was derived from Cecilia.
Why did I pick the name Cecilia? My first choice was the name Cordelia which often believed to be the feminine form of coeur de lion since I am a Leo. I used to see my relationship with my father like the one shared by Cordelia and King Lear. But as I journeyed into womanhood, I realize in fact that I was the one who's blind and not able to understand and appreciate my father's way of loving his children.

San Diego’s Republican Mayor Jerry Sanders revealed his plan to support a city measure guaranteeing equality to gays and lesbians, after previously opposing it.
Through teary-eyes, Sanders revealed his stance on gay marriage had changed after considering that anything less than full marriage equality would be demeaning to his own daughter, who is a lesbian.

The creators of the award winning documentary “Transgeneration” and a major cable network are seeking SINGLE MEN 25 and up that date or are interested in dating a transgendered woman and take part in a TV dating show. We have auditions in NYC this THURSDAY September 13th.
We are seeking men from all walks of life: all ethnicities, all levels of “experience”—experienced in dating TG, open to a first time experience, a FTM TG man, etc. The only requirement is that you are an outgoing, kind and sincere man who is looking for love, and that you and come to the experience with an open heart. Transgender Law Center Turns 5!

As most of you know, one of our founders, Chris Daley, is stepping down as TLC’s Director this year. After doing this work for 6 years (the last 5 of which have been spent building up TLC) he is moving on and passing the reins of the organization to our first Executive Director, Masen Davis. Our fundraising event this year will be a great opportunity for all of us to show him how much we appreciate his amazing work and your first opportunity to meet our new Executive Director.
