So I accidentally deleted the post on my website design update. The new design of my website will probably not be my final version but I am always open for suggestions and feedbacks. The one major difference for the new vesion is the backend platform. The site is now dynamic driven and all changes are instantaneous. It’s time to say farewell to Blogger, which has been what I have been using for the past two years. BTW, you can click on the images to see a larger image.

This was not my first website but was my first since aquring the domain aboutcecilia.com. It was not an orginal design. The template was purchased through Front Page World. I think they still have that on sale and it’s a great design for newbies who use the old Microsoft FrontPage ( Note: MS has discountinued FrontPage in late 2006 and has replaced it with Sharepoint Designer 2007 and Expression Web).
2002 - 2004
I can’t remember when exactly I created this template but it was my first endeavor into writing raw html and css for Blogger. The picture used was a capture from my webcam ( the software used was webcamXP, back then, I believe it was called webcamPRO). I decided to stick with a black-color background to contrast the color images.
This was my first template that included my chinese last name on the top left corner. It seemed important to me to get in touch with my heritage. It was also because of a frequent request from the Chinese media to use my chinese name. Since then, I also asked my mother to give me a new chinese name to reflect my transition.
As you can probably guess, the top left corner of this template had my new name that my mother gave me.

This template is currently used on blog.aboutcecilia.com. The picture was taken in 1992 and it has a lot of sentimental values attached to it. I was going to retire the entire sub-domain but have decided to keep it since I have some of my deepest emotion written on that blog. One of them being the passing of my beloved grandmother which titled ” Goodnight Grandma - I Love You” and I speech I wrote about Gwen Araujo. There were many fo those moments until my busy schedule caught on to me. Needless to say, one of my resolution is to start blogging again.
Who knows, maybe you will desicover another design when you visit this site again next week since I will have the next four days off
